Poons.

Report Date: August 1, 2007

They are here, been here a while, but they have been tough. Were putting some fish in the air and a few in the boat, but we've had to work for them. Slack tide either on the high or the low has been the ticket. Hopefully the next two months things will heat up a bit as the bait gets thicker in the sound.

On s side note, the nearshore bite for Spanish, Jacks, and Blues had been outstanding. Mostly calm days have allowed us to push out to some of the offshore sandbars and wrecks and sight cast to these guys. When your on them, it's nonstop action.

It won't be long and the big bulls will start to how up in the sound and the inshore bite should pick up as well.
