Spring Cobia
Report Date: April 23, 2008
Well it's that time of year and the flowers have bloomed and the waters have warmed, and of course the fish are showing up!
This translates to Cobia fishing time. Everything was looking real good for the first part of the month with water temps up into the high sixties but that didn't last long. A few last cold fronts blew in and kinda put the brakes on the Brownies for a bit. Now that things are back on the rise, the fish are pouring in. In the past week we have had several nice fish cought well up the river at all of the notorius spots and now the armada is in hot pursuit. This is just the beggining of the infamous Broad River Cobia run and hopefully it will be a good one.
If you book one of these Cobia charters here this spring, do a little pre-game warm up before you come. Get yourself a broom stick, tie 3 concrete blocks to it, climb up on the porch, and hold it off the ground for say.....20 minutes......Ten times a day
