Just a Report

Report Date: August 22, 2008

Well since Tropical Storm Faye has decided to bring us rain for threee days strait i figured it would be a good time to update this antiquated report page.

It's prtty much still summertime fishing here at least for the next few weeks or until the water tewmps start to drop a little. The Tarpon bite has been pretty spotty at best but we have still managed to get several to the boat and plenty more in the air. We have also picked up a few of the stray Cobia that have been lurking in the sound and around the bridge. On the nearshore front, the spanish, blues, and ladyfish have been thick as theives and will absolutely wear you out on light tackle.
As far as the Reds and Trout go, it's been full bore. As usual, live bait has been the ticket ad we are seeing tons of little Reds and Trout which should fair us well for the next couple of months. I have also uncovered some deep water trout holes that have been producing some monster trout and good Jacks. Also, we should start seeing the big bulls out in the sound in the next couple of weeks and if you have done this with me before, you need no reminder of what it's like.....
If the weater holds, it looks like this may be an excellant fall fishing season. We are loaded up with shrimp and really good numbers of small fish. So get your stuff together and give me a call and we'll get on some fish. I'll check back in a few months!!!!
