Beaufort, SC Lowcountry Fishing Report

I know, I know, I know, Not the most up to date fishing reports lately. I have spent the better parrt of the winter working at various plantations in the area as a hunting guide and have let the reports get behind me a bit to say the least. Suprisingly enough though everything seems to have remained the same out on the river.

The times i did get out to fish this winter were excellant. The numbers of Reds on the flats have been very impressive and the fish have been quite cooperative. Gulps still seem to be the ticket, even outfishing live bait. (just like on the package!)

Now that hunting season is coming to an end, it's time to switch gears and get back into fishing mode. The Flats action should be consistant well into the spring with the arrival of the famed brown fish. Hopefully there will be room in the river for me again this year......
